Which placeholder does what? Show me!
PPT2HTML Placeholder Reference is a complete and detailed listing of all PPT2HTML placeholders.
But some of us learn better by seeing and doing. If that sounds like you, PPT2HTML's Diagnostic Template feature is just the ticket.
- Open a sample presentation (it's best to choose one that's only a few slides long)
- Go to the Preferences dialog, choose the Templates folder you want to work with, then click "Make diagnostic template"
- PPT2HTML automatically generates a new template file called DiagnosticTemplate.htm in the current templates folder and selects it for you.
- Create HTML from your presentation and view it
DiagnosticTemplate.htm thoroughly exercises all of PPT2HTML's capabilities - when you generate HTML from your presentation using it then view the resulting HTML, you'll see both "how to use it" and "here's what it does" examples.
The diagnostic template also includes all of the Document Properties, plus any Custom Properties you've defined for that presenation, but to keep this information up to date, it's a good idea always to generate a new Diagnostic Template each time you want to use one.
