Turn animated slides into a series of slides with animation steps
WARNING: THIS FEATURE IS EXPERIMENTAL - USE IT ONLY ON A COPY OF YOUR PRESENTATION
Shift+Click the Make HTML button to activate it.
A simple example explains what it does:
Suppose you have a slide with two animated shapes. During a PowerPoint slide show, you'd see the slide with no animated shapes, then Shape A would appear, then Shape B would appear.
"De-animate" turns this single slide into one original and two duplicate slides:
- On the first slide, all animated shapes are hidden
- On the second, Shape A is unhidden
- On the third, Shape A and Shape B are unhidden
So when you convert the slide into HTML, it creates three HTML files which, when you view them in sequence, reproduce the effect of the original PowerPoint "build" reasonably closely.
Limitations:
- No support for point by point text reveals.
- There's no way to remove the "de-animated" slides and restore the original slide to its normal state, so always use this on a COPY of your presentation.
- Since de-animating adds extra slides, may throw off slide numbering and links to specific slides within the presentation.
